Ärzteversorgung Westfalen-Lippe is an institution of the Ärztekammer Westfalen-Lippe, a corporation under public law. Established on 1 April 1960, it is located in Münster (Westphalia). The Ärzteversorgung is instituted in accordance with the Medical Professions Act of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia of 9 May 2000, as amended and promulgated on 16 May 2000 (GV.NRW 2000, p. 403 et seq.) and, in accordance with Section 6 (1) No. 10 of this Act, is charged with providing retirement benefits to members of the Ärztekammer and their surviving dependants on the basis of special statutes.
Ärzteversorgung Westfalen-Lippe is a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Berufsständischer Versorgungseinrichtungen e.V. (ABV).
